Richard, Robert and Vinny Battista founded Monique’s Bath Showroom. They opened their first store in Newton, MA in the 1970’s. The only other Decorative Plumbing Store at the time was Brickman’s in Waltham, MA. In 1981 the brothers opened Monique’s Bath Showroom as you know it today. Originally in Waltham, with a satellite store in the Arsenal Mall, Monique’s was expanded into the current location in Watertown, MA. Along the way, Richard became the sole owner of Monique’s. He always had a flair for design and enjoyed making people’s dreams a reality. He built a staff of customer oriented professionals with unparalleled product knowledge who have earned the respect of the kitchen and bath community. Since 2012, upon the passing of Richard, his son Michael has run the company with the help of his sister Michele and a talented and loyal team. Michael’s son Anthony, a 3rd generation Battista, joined the company full time and now runs the accounting department. They all continue to operate Monique’s the way Richard envisioned and by doing so keep Richard’s dream alive.
