Aside from gathering and networking with the movers, shakers, and headline-makers at the annual Decorative Plumbing and Hardware Association (DPHA), Monique’s Showroom always takes home a plethora of ideas and tactics to keep our company at the forefront of what it takes to be the gold star showroom in the Boston area, and beyond!
Although this year’s event was a big success in many ways, it is our team’s commitment to attend DPHA each year that allows us to be recognized as pioneers in the design and build community.
We first realized our contributions to the DPHA were appreciated in 2014. If you remember, we published a blog about winning with DPHA Showroom of the Year. This was also the time when we first considered helping advance our industry by contributing to various DPHA committees. We are currently on the marketing and website committee.
1. Consumers are no longer showing up in bath and kitchen showrooms or other retailers with questions. Most consumers already have the answers; they are merely looking for validation about their ideas.
2. To beat “disruption” in any marketplace (for example, how to thrive in a brick-and-mortar business despite this click-and order- insurgence), you must respond quickly and innovate often.
3. Value precedes influence. Therefore, if you want to serve people in a heart-centered way, you must show how much you care, not how much you know.
As 2019 hits the calendar, we look forward to contributing even more to DPHA. We consider it the “red carpet” organization for anyone who wants to put customer relationships first in our industry as well as run a world-class, award-winning bath and kitchen showroom business.
Thank you so much for your loyalty and patronage.
